1. AIKIJUJUTSU 合気柔術

The European Daito Ryu Aikibudo Daito Kai is a School that teaches a complete martial art, among the hand-to-hand combat techniques with atemiwaza (kicks, strikes, elbow hits etc.), nagewaza (throws), shimewaza (strangles), kansetsuwaza (joint-locks), kyushowaza (pressure on vital points of the human body) and aikinojutsu (throws), the practitioner studies the use of all the ancient weapon of the bushi (like katana, yari, bo etc.). The many techniques of the aikijujutsu (over 3.000 techniques) are transmitted and catalogued in scrolls (the mokuroku) which, in this case of the hiden mokuroku, is divided in a series (kajo), of an increasing difficulty of execution. The techniques are then divided in way of performing them:
- idori : shite and uke working in knee
- hanza handachi : shite is kneeling, uke standing
- tachiai : both are standing
- ushirodori : uke attacks shite from the rear (standing).

Three areas that make up the aikijujutsu

1. Jujutsu (柔術) : unarmed techniques; method of relying primarily on atemi.
2. Aikinojutsu (合気之術) : unarmed techniques; method of replying mainly aiki (合気) concepts .
3. Aikijujutsu (合気柔術) : unarmed techniques; method of combining the jujutsu with aiki concepts.

Teaching is also divided in three levels of depth and ability :
1. SHODEN : the teaching of base.
2. CHUDEN : the median teaching.
3. SOUDEN : the superior teaching.

The 118 basic techniques

- Ikkajo : this series is made of 30 tecniques so divided: 10 in idori, 5 in hanza handachi, 10 in tachiai and 5 in ushiro dori.
